What you get
A single Excel workbook that tracks stock levels and sales velocity across 20–500 SKUs, calculates days of stock on hand and economic order quantities automatically, and surfaces reorder-ready items on a dedicated dashboard. No subscription, no WMS, no manual math.
Who it's for
Small e-commerce and retail operators running monthly buying cycles who need to know exactly which SKUs to purchase this week and how many units to order — without relying on enterprise inventory software or gut instinct.
What's inside
- SKU Master Sheet — central input table for current stock levels, unit costs, supplier lead times, and holding cost assumptions across your full product catalog.
- Monthly Sales History Input — enter up to 12 months of unit sales per SKU; the workbook derives average velocity and variance automatically.
- Days of Stock on Hand Calculator — formula-driven output showing how many days of coverage each SKU carries at current sales velocity.
- EOQ Calculator — applies the classic Economic Order Quantity formula to recommend the cost-optimal buy quantity for each SKU in the current cycle.
- Reorder Trigger Points — calculates the stock level at which each SKU should be reordered, factoring in lead time and a configurable safety stock buffer.
- Reorder Calculator Sheet — flags exactly which SKUs need purchasing this week, showing recommended order quantities alongside current stock and lead time at a glance.
- Stockout Risk Dashboard — rates every SKU as HIGH, MEDIUM, or LOW risk so buyers can triage purchasing decisions in minutes rather than hours.
How to use it
Open the file in Microsoft Excel or upload it to Google Sheets. Start by populating the SKU Master Sheet with your product catalog, then enter sales history in the Monthly Sales History Input tab. All calculated fields — days of stock, EOQ, reorder points, and risk ratings — update immediately. Run through the Reorder Calculator and Stockout Risk Dashboard at the start of each monthly buying cycle to set your purchase orders.
